Notice is hereby given that sealed or electronic bids will be received by the Board of Supervisors of Jackson County, Mississippi
until 12:00 p.m. (local time), on the 21st of January, 2025. All bids will be publicly opened and read aloud at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, January 21st, 2025, in the Board of Supervisors Board Room in the Jackson County Services Complex for the following:

CHERRY PARK DRAINAGE IMPROVEMENTS

Contractors have the option of submitting their bids sealed in an envelope or electronically through www.jacksoncoplans.com. If a sealed envelope bid is submitted by mail, the post office address of Cindy Steen, Purchasing Director, is P.O. Box 998, Pascagoula, MS 39568-0998 and may be delivered by mail or hand delivery to 2915 Canty Street, Suite D, Purchasing Dept., Pascagoula, Mississippi 39567. Sealed bids may be delivered to Cindy Steen, Purchasing Director, Suite D, Purchasing Department, 2915 Canty Street, Pascagoula, MS 39567 until 12:00 p.m., January 21st , 2025.

Sealed bid envelopes shall be marked “SEALED BID FOR JACKSON COUNTY –CHERRY PARK DRAINAGE IMPROVEMENTS TO BE OPENED AT 1:00 PM, Tuesday, January 21st ” and if any envelope is not so marked, any bid contained therein will not be considered.

All bid envelopes should contain the bidder’s name and mailing address on the face of the envelope. The bid shall also contain the bidder’s Certificate of Responsibility number on the outside of the envelope, failing which, said bid shall not be opened or considered. Bids must be accompanied by a satisfactory Bid Bond payable to the Jackson County Board of Supervisors in an amount of five percent (5%) of the total bid, duly executed by Bidder and an acceptable surety.”

When submitting an electronic bid, the bid must be submitted in “pdf” format and shall contain the same information and forms as required for the paper bids. Electronic bids must be secured with a bid bond. When submitting a bid electronically, the authorized signature may be a hand- written blue ink signature or be an electronic signature. When bids are submitted electronically, the requirement for including a certificate of responsibility, or a statement that the bid enclosed does not exceed Fifty Thousand Dollars ($50,000.00), on the exterior of the bid envelope shall be deemed in compliance by including the same information as an attachment with the electronic bid submittal.

The County reserves the right to reject any or all bids not conforming to the intent and purpose of the specifications, and to postpone the award of the Contract for a period of time which, however, shall not extend beyond 90 days from the bid opening date.
